Steve Oldham

Steve Oldham started their work experience in 1989 as a Software Engineer at Ferranti Computer Systems. Steve then worked at MDA, starting in 1996, where they held various roles including Software Engineer, Project Manager, Director of Business Development, and General Manager of Satellite Missions & Robotics. In 2012, they became the Vice President of Strategic Business Development at MDA and held this position until 2018. From 2018 to 2022, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Carbon Engineering Ltd., where they focused on developing technology for large-scale carbon capture and producing low-carbon fuel. Currently, they are working as the Chief Executive Officer at Captura, a company that aims to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through direct ocean capture using renewable electricity and ocean water.

Steve Oldham attended the University of Birmingham from 1986 to 1989, where they pursued a degree in Maths & Computer Science with a focus on Mathematics.
