Ruthie Glauber has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Ruthie started their career as a Seattle Chapter Social Media Intern at The Surfrider Foundation in July 2019. Ruthie then became the UCLA Chapter Outreach Director at The Surfrider Foundation in September 2019. In the same year, they also worked as a Research Scholar at UCLA Sustainable LA Grand Challenge, supporting UCLA Housing.

In 2019, Ruthie also joined NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration as a Communication & Engagement Analytics Intern through the Virtual Student Federal Service Internship. Ruthie successfully increased engagement on social media platforms and achieved significant growth in Twitter and Facebook engagement.

Continuing their academic and research pursuits, Ruthie worked as a Research Assistant at the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability from July 2020 to March 2021. Ruthie contributed to the development of a novel Blue Economy Index and supported sustainability negotiations in the Dominican Republic and Fiji.

Starting in August 2021, Ruthie joined the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science as a Researcher and Research Assistant. Ruthie conducted DNA analysis and worked with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Ruthie also contributed to the work of Dr. Jenny Jay in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department.

In 2021, Ruthie became a part of the Bonnie Reiss Carbon Neutrality Initiative Fellowship at the University of California Office of the President. Ruthie consulting academic clients, designed deliverables, and managed a team as part of the fellowship. Additionally, they served as a Carbon Neutrality Initiative Ambassador from January to August 2021.

Most recently, Ruthie Glauber worked at Oceanswell as a Project Report Manager, executing a complex cost benefit analysis report that investigated various impacts of pushing shipping lanes further offshore. Ruthie provided valuable insights on reducing risks to marine life, industry costs, and environmental concerns.

Currently, Ruthie is a Research & Marketing Associate at Capture6, a position they have held since September 2022.

Ruthie Glauber completed their International Baccalaureate High School Diploma from ACS Cobham International School between 2014 and 2018. Ruthie then attended UCLA from 2018 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science.
