Owen Zhang

Owen Zhang has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Co-Founder at Caralyst Health in 2019. Owen then joined Sling Health in 2020, serving as the Managing Director from June 2020 to July 2022 and subsequently becoming the President from July 2022 to May 2023. Concurrently, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Google, where they contributed to projects such as creating a gamified onboarding process for Google Photos and designing a savings extension for Photos. Owen also had internships as a Software Engineer at Monkeyworks GmbH in 2019 and as a Marketing Intern at ELCO Industrie Automation GmbH in 2018. Additionally, Owen worked as a Writer & Translator at Upwork in 2017. Currently, they are a Venture Fellow at Republic starting from April 2022. Owen was also a Teaching Assistant at Washington University McKelvey School of Engineering from January 2020 to May 2020. Owen also had their own venture, LionSnacks, where they served as the Founder from January 2019 to June 2019. Finally, they completed a Reactor Fellowship at Floodgate from December 2021 to September 2022.

Owen Zhang has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Computer Science, with a joint degree in Business Analytics and Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis. Owen also attended Kent School and obtained a High School Diploma. In 2018, they studied Computer Science at Horizons School of Technology. Additionally, Owen Zhang holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association and an EMT Certificate of Course Completion from EMT Training Headquarters, although the specific dates of completion for the latter certification are unknown.
