Max Horner

Max Horner has a diverse work experience with a focus in mechanical engineering. Max currently holds the position of Lead Engineer - Technology Development at Carbon Engineering Ltd., where they started in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Advanced Development Engineer at the same company from September 2020 to October 2022.

Before joining Carbon Engineering Ltd., Max worked at Greenlight Innovation Corp. from 2017 to 2020. Max held the roles of Customer Success Engineer and Systems Integration and Test Engineer, where they were involved in designing and integrating custom features on fuel cell testing equipment, commissioning test equipment projects, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.

Max also has experience as a Mechanical Engineering Student at The University of British Columbia, where they worked on a Capstone Project developing surgical tooling prototypes and performing user needs assessments. Max also worked as a Mechatronics and Bioengineer at STEMCELL Technologies, where they automated various culture maintenance techniques and developed image-based assays.

Additionally, Max has held positions as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Stantec, a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at Harmac Pacific, and a Marine Surveyor and Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at Certispec Services Inc. Max also worked as a DFX Mountain Bike Coach at Whistler Blackcomb and was a Provincial Downhill Team Athlete at Cycling BC.
