Chris Upchurch

Chris Upchurch is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in transportation planning and river guiding. Currently serving as a River Guide for OARS Companies, Inc. and as a Research Scientist at Carbon Solutions LLC, Chris Upchurch previously held positions at Rogue Rafting Co. and the Mid-America Regional Council, where responsibilities included technical project management. Notably, Chris Upchurch was a Principal Planner at the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, leading the development of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan and managing performance-based planning initiatives. With a robust academic foundation, Chris Upchurch earned a PhD in Geography from the University of Utah, along with an MA and BS in Geography from Arizona State University.
