Beth Bernhardt has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries.
Beth started their career in 1999 as a Junior Designer at Kohn Pedersen Fox International. Beth then worked at Balderach & Company as a Junior Designer from May 1998 to December 1999. From August 2000 to February 2002, they were a Designer at Kwan Henmi Architects.
In March 2002, they joined Taylor Lombardo Architects as a Senior Project Manager, where they stayed until December 2008. During their time there, they primarily focused on high-end residential and winery projects, handling construction documents, client coordination, and construction administration.
From July 2008 to February 2010, Beth worked as a Model Maker & Project Manager at Gemmiti Model Art. Beth primarily worked on architectural models and occasionally on prototypes and litigation models. Beth'sproject management responsibilities included estimating project proposals, scheduling, managing staff time, and collaborative model design.
Following that, they worked as a Model Maker at Kerner Optical from July 2010 to August 2011, specializing in practical effects for film and commercials, including CAD, laser cutting, greens, and set dressing. Beth then joined CinderBiter in February 2012 as a Model Maker for a feature-length stop motion film directed by Henry Selick and used scratch-build techniques for fabricating miniature props, emphasizing CAD and laser cutting.
From 2008 to 2014, Beth pursued freelance work as a Model Maker and Architectural Consultant. Beth'smodel making skills covered various materials, including laser cutting and fine detail work. Beth also provided architectural consultation services for high-end residential and winery projects, preparing permit sets and construction documents.
In November 2014, Beth joined Other Machine Co. as a Manufacturing Manager, overseeing in-house production of the Othermill, a desktop CNC mill. Beth'sresponsibilities included ensuring appropriate workflow, assembly methods, and training of production staff.
Finally, Beth joined Carbon in November 2016. Beth started as a Production Specialist before transitioning to a role as a Carbon Technology Specialist in October 2017. In that role, they were a hands-on trainer on the Carbon Education team, imparting knowledge as a power user of DLS technology and also worked as a content writer for online training, focusing on process and design. Beth then became a Senior Curriculum Development Manager in April 2019, responsible for managing curriculum development. Currently, Beth is working as a Senior Instructional Application Designer, a position they have held since July 2023.
Beth Bernhardt attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1995 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Beth'sfield of study was architecture.
