Eftimiya Salo

Eftimiya Salo currently serves as the Director of CDR and carbon markets at Carbonaide, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Salo was the Carbon Market and Policy Lead at Compensate Foundation, where advocacy work focused on reforming the voluntary carbon market and authoring a significant white paper on integrity within this space. Experience at Compensate spanned leadership of carbon projects and sustainability approaches, alongside evaluations of nature-based projects. Salo contributed to the European Chemicals Agency as Scientific Administrative Support and completed impactful research during internships with IRENA and the Ministry of the Environment of Finland. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in International and Comparative Law with a focus on Environmental Policy from the University of Eastern Finland and a Master's in Corporate Environmental Management from the University of Jyväskylä.
