Kos Galatsis has been working in the engineering and technology field since 2004. Kos began their career as an Associate Professor in Material Science Engineering at UCLA in 2004. In 2008, they became a Black Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor at South Bay Jiu Jitsu, teaching close quarter combat, mixed martial arts, and self-defense. In 2012, they began working as a Legal Expert Witness and Consultant at Carbon Monoxide Forensics. From 2014 to 2019, they were the Chief Executive Officer at Carbonics, Inc., where they worked with nanotechnology and cryogenics for computing and 5G communications, mmWave CNT RF, and cryogenics CMOS quantum computing and qubit control electronics. Currently, they are the President and Chief Engineer at Forensics Detectors, the world's best gas detectors, meters, and analyzers, and the No. 1 gas detector brand on Amazon.

Kos Galatsis obtained their Executive MBA from La Trobe University in 2004. From 1999 to 2002, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Semiconducting Nanodevices, Nanosensors, Toxic Gas Sensors & Detectors, Vehicle Gas Sensors from RMIT University. Kos also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from RMIT University from 1995 to 1998.
