Dr Gary Walpole

Dr. Gary Walpole serves as the Director of the Circular Economy Innovation Community at Cardiff Metropolitan University since September 2020. Concurrently, Dr. Walpole has held multiple leadership roles at Swansea University since March 2013, including Director of ION Leadership, where responsibility encompasses design, delivery, and strategy development, as well as serving as Deputy Director of Wales' largest leadership development program. Dr. Walpole has extensive experience in managing projects such as Developing Innovation Performance of Firms & Supply Chain Clusters and has previously acted as Project Manager for LEAD Wales, focusing on SME leadership development. Prior experience includes roles at Inspirato, Indycube, Leadership & Management Wales, the University of Glamorgan, and Resource Engineering. Dr. Walpole's educational qualifications include a PhD focused on leadership and innovation practices, alongside multiple postgraduate diplomas and an MBA.
