Ryan Hannum has a diverse work experience in various roles related to research operations and biology. Ryan currently works as a Research Operations Specialist II at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration and Cardinal Point Captains, Inc. Prior to this, they held the role of Biologist 2 and Biologist 1 at Moody Gardens®, where they were involved in routine duties such as feeding, display design, and water chemistry analysis. Ryan also worked on the Florida Coral Reef Tract Rescue Project, focusing on the preservation and conservation of endemic Florida corals. Ryan gained experience as a Fish Husbandry Volunteer at the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Marine Science Center, where they performed maintenance tasks, assisted in medical procedures, and conducted educational tours.
