Rafal Samborski has a diverse work experience, starting with their position as a Research Intern at Omron in 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Researcher at ABB, developing power grid security algorithms. Following this, they joined AGH University of Science and Technology, where they conducted research in digital signal processing and data analysis, specializing in biometry, speech technology, and array processing. During this time, they coauthored publications in international conferences and peer-reviewed journals. In 2014, Rafal became a Research Manager at VoicePIN.com, leading a team of interdisciplinary engineers and scientists in developing a Human-Machine Interface for the deaf. In 2015, they co-founded Consonance, a medical device development company, serving as the CEO and growing the company to 20 employees. Rafal's responsibilities included setting up a strategy and leading commercial activities for medical start-ups and big pharma companies. Most recently, they became the CEO of Cardiomatics in 2017, where they oversee a cloud AI tool for ECG analysis and works with customers from various countries.
Rafal Samborski's education history begins in 2004 at AGH University of Krakow, where they pursued a Master's degree in Inżynieria elektryczna, elektroniczna i komunikacyjna. Rafal completed this program in 2009. During this time, from 2007 to 2009, they also studied Philosophy at Jagiellonian University. In 2009, Rafal continued their education at AGH University of Krakow, this time pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Inżynieria elektryczna, elektroniczna i komunikacyjna. Rafal completed their PhD program in 2016. In 2015, Rafal briefly attended Ivey Business School at Western University, where they studied Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies, but did not obtain a degree.
