Wiqar Junaid

Wiqar Junaid is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and reporting across various organizations. Currently serving as the Budget & Finance Reporting Manager at CARE Deutschland e.V. since October 2023, Wiqar previously held roles at MAG (Mines Advisory Group) as Country Finance Manager and Deputy Finance Manager from September 2019 to September 2023, and as Finance Manager at Saferworld in late 2018, focusing on financial compliance for regional projects in South Asia. Wiqar's tenure at World Vision spanned nearly a decade, where responsibilities included establishing finance department roles and overseeing budget management as Finance Team Lead and Finance Officer. Wiqar began the professional journey as a Finance Assistant at Johanniter International Assistance. Wiqar holds two master's degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Peshawar, obtained between 2001 and 2007.
