Petronel Nieuwoudt

Petronel Nieuwoudt is a dedicated conservationist and wildlife rehabilitator with extensive experience in managing and developing wildlife centers and rehabilitation programs. As the Founder and CEO of Care for Wild Rhino since December 2013, Petronel oversees daily operations and community enrichment projects aimed at conservation. Petronel also owns Care for Wild Africa CC, focusing on animal care and educational initiatives, and has previously owned Tambotie Wildlife Centre and Sondela Wildlife Center, emphasizing center design and management. Additionally, Petronel managed The Game Capture School, organizing training programs while holding various leadership roles in the South African Police Service, particularly in the Endangered Species Protection Unit. Petronel holds a BA (Hons) in Industrial Psychology and a BA in Communications, with ongoing studies in Veterinary Assistance.
