Johanna Volm

Johanna Volm has over 30 years of experience serving elders in long term care. Ms. Volm started her career in long term care as a certified nursing assistant in a county skilled nursing facility as she worked through nursing school. After completing her BSN, she worked as a State Surveyor of nursing homes for the Bureau of Quality Assurance in the State of Wisconsin for 13 years. Ms. Volm went back to the provider side of the business and worked for Extendicare as a Regional Nurse Consultant. Later, Ms. Volm took a position as Risk Manager for a multi-state assignment of skilled nursing homes and assisted living. Ms. Volm has experience as a Director of Clinical Services with multi-state assignments that included start-up facilities and working as a Nurse Consultant for skilled nursing facilities as well as assisted living. for skilled nursing facilities as well as assisted living. Ms. Volm joined Care Initiatives in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and in addition to her new leadership role, she has been active on the frontline providing healthcare for residents and support for staff where needed.
