Christine Asbury

Christine Asbury serves as a Non Executive Director at the Care Quality Commission since June 2023 and has extensive experience in the social care sector. As Director of FETTLE CONSULTANCY LIMITED from July 2020 to May 2024, Christine provided consultancy and mentoring for various organizations, including start-ups and established providers. Previously, Christine was Chief Executive at WCS Care (2012-2020), focusing on high-quality residential care, and held the Chief Executive position at Being Assistive Technologies Ltd (2011-2012) and ATcare (2009-2011), promoting assistive technology solutions for independent living. In earlier roles, Christine led The Kingwood Trust (2007-2008) to support individuals with autism and learning disabilities and was instrumental in establishing Ambitious about Autism (1998-2006) as a leading charity for autism education. Christine began their career as Director at The Toxoplasmosis Trust (1990-1998), focusing on health information and support. Christine holds an MA in Public and Social Administration from Brunel University (1986-1987).
