Ruwimbo Sabeta

Ruwimbo Sabeta is an experienced Disaster Risk Reduction Specialist currently working with CARE since February 2024, having previously held the same title from July 2022 to October 2023. With a robust background in disaster risk reduction, humanitarian action, environmental management, and climate change, Ruwimbo has led project planning, budget management, and policy development in these areas. Prior roles include Project Officer at SNV, providing programming support for various USAID and SDC funded projects, and Master Resilience Trainer for Mercy Corps, developing capacity in resilience and livelihoods strategies. Ruwimbo's career also includes significant positions at SAFIRE, the Cooperative League of the U.S.A, and roles involving capacity strengthening for smallholder farmers. Ruwimbo holds a Master of Science in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Degree in Development Studies, complemented by a Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Zimbabwe.
