Mitch Siegan has had a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 2003, they served as the Medical Director of Peri-Operative Services at St. Francis Hospital, and also took on the role of ICU Medical Director from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, Mitch Siegan became the Chief Medical Officer at Roper St. Francis Healthcare, where they held the position for two years before being promoted to Vice President Operations and Chief Medical Officer Acute Care in 2020. Additionally, from 2009 to 2018, Mitch Siegan served as the Chief of the Department of Anesthesia at Bon Secours St. Francis.
Mitch Siegan has a BA in Biology from Emory University, obtained in 1991. Mitch then attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned their MD degree, completing their studies in 1995. From 1996 to 2000, they had a residency/fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard School of Medicine. During this time, they also pursued a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine with a focus on Communication and Media Studies at Harvard Medical School-Massachusetts General Hospital. Mitch is board certified as an Anesthesiologist by the American Board of Anesthesiology and has additional certification in Critical Care Medicine from The American Board of Anesthesiology.
