Elena Johns, DNP, AGNP

Elena Johns, DNP, AGNP has extensive experience in the healthcare field. Elena started their career as a Patient Care Technician at University Medical Center New Orleans in 2015 and worked there until 2017. Elena then worked as a Registered Nurse at Atlas MedStaff and FlexCare Medical Staffing as a Travel Registered Nurse. In 2018, they transitioned to a role as a Registered Nurse at Scripps Health. Elena also worked as a Registered Nurse at Seaport Home Health & Hospice from 2019 to 2022. During this time, they also took on the role of Social Media Assistant at Avalon International Academy in 2018. In the same year, they pursued their passion for travel photography as a self-employed Travel Photographer. Elena expanded their role in the healthcare field in 2022 as an Ambassador at QSciences and an NP/RN at Hospice of the South Coast. Currently, they are working as a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner at CareConnectMD since February 2023.

Elena Johns, DNP, AGNP, began their education journey by obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, which they completed between 2013 and 2016. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree with a specialization in Nurse Practitioner at the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science. This program commenced in 2019 and is expected to conclude in 2022. Elena's educational background does not include any information about their studies or degree from Louisiana State University. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained professional certifications including Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association in July 2016 and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in September 2015.
