Canaan Davis

Canaan Davis is the current Director of Engineering at CareerPlug. Before that, they were a software engineer at Generation Ready from July 2014 to February 2017. Canaan has also worked as a student web application engineer at MakerSquare from April 2014 to July 2014, and as a Direct Dispatch Help Desk Advisor at Apple from February 2012 to April 2014.

Throughout their career, Davis has been exposed to a multitude of technologies, including JavaScript, Angular.js, Backbone.js, jQuery, Underscore.js, Require.js, JSON, AJAX, Ruby, Rails, Sinatra, Foundation, Bootstrap, Sass/SCSS/CSS, HTML5, HTTP, API, REST, SQLite, PostgreSQL, Version Control, Git, Vagrant, Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development(BDD), RSpec and Jasmine. Canaan is also experienced in wire framing, UX design and Model-View-Controller (MVC). Additionally, they have knowledge in data structures and algorithms, including merge-sort and selection-sort.

Canaan Davis received a Bachelor of Science in Communication / Advertising from Lamar University.

Canaan Davis reports to Andrew Robinson III, VP of Product & Engineering. They work with and Teresa Hall - Director of UX & Product Design.
