Shawna Sloan

Shawna Sloan is an accomplished Event Coordinator with extensive experience in managing a diverse range of events, from hiring fairs to professional development workshops. Currently serving at CareerSource Capital Region since December 2021, Shawna has a successful track record of engaging key stakeholders and leading an Events Team to create impactful events. Previous roles include Event Coordinator for Impact Week, Middle School Teacher for Wakulla County School Board during the pandemic, and various internships in event management and marketing. Shawna holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management from the University of Florida and has gained valuable skills through roles with organizations such as Slice Engineering, Historic Thomas Center, and the City of Tallahassee.
