Paula Phillips Burns has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Paula Phillips started their career as a Community Health Planner at the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida, where they coordinated health planning activities for multiple counties. Paula Phillips then worked at the Duval County Health Department, first as a Contract Manager and later as a Center Administrator, responsible for managing an infectious disease clinic. Paula Phillips then joined the Florida Department of Health as the Assistant Director of Clinical Services before returning to the Duval County Health Department as a Research Associate and Project Manager.
In 2011, Paula joined the Florida Department of Health-St. Johns County as the Director of Disease Control and Health Protection.
