Mario Rodriguez has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and positions. Mario began their career in 2003 as an Observer Controller at CMTC Operations Group, where they trained soldiers for deployment to various conflict zones. In 2005, they joined the U.S. Army as an Observer Controller/Trainer, focusing on preparing reserve component soldiers for deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
In 2008, Mario transitioned to the private sector and worked as a Training Development and Safety Manager at PODS Enterprises, Inc. Their responsibilities included training drivers, managers, and franchise owners, as well as developing call center training programs.
In 2014, Mario rejoined CareerSource Tampa Bay and took on multiple roles. Mario initially served as a Military Family Employment Advocate, supporting the employment needs of spouses and children of active duty service members and assisting transitioning service members. Mario then became a Program Coordinator for the Military Transitioning Employment Program, actively engaging with employers and veterans to facilitate smoother career transitions. From 2019 to 2021, they held the position of IT Sector Strategist, contributing to industry sector strategies and addressing workforce needs.
During their career, CareerSource Tampa Bay temporarily outsourced Mario's position to EDSI in 2021, where they continued as an IT Sector Strategist with the same job description.
Most recently, in 2023, Mario progressed to the role of Director of Business Services at CareerSource Tampa Bay, overseeing the development and coordination of various programs/projects to accomplish organizational goals within specified time frames.
Mario Rodriguez's education history begins in 2005 when they attended Thomas Edison State University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science, which they completed in 2008. Following this, Mario pursued further education at Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, where they earned a Master's Degree in Project Management from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, in 2009, they also obtained an MBA with a focus on General Management/International Business from the same institution. Mario has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. Notably, they obtained the Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certification from DRI International in February 2021. Additionally, Mario has certifications in subjects such as Lean Six Sigma Foundations, Post-Crisis Leadership, Nonprofit Management Foundations, and Change Management Foundations, among others.
