Yoonji KIM has a diverse work history, beginning with a role as an English Tutor at China Taiping Insurance in 2011. In 2012, they interned at the American Red Cross in the Asian Community Preparedness Department, where they conducted community outreach and was a primary event organizer for the 40th annual YCE fundraising luncheon. In 2014, they worked at Global Ties U.S. (formerly the National Council for International Visitors) as a Public Diplomacy Intern and Corporate Development Intern. In 2016, they were a Program Manager, Development & Partnerships for the Global Ties Foundation, where they strengthened public-private diplomatic partnerships, created presentations, business plans, and marketing materials, and implemented quarterly strategic digital fundraising campaigns. In 2018, they served as a Consultant for The North Shore Inn at Lake Mead, where they set up and maintained guest acquisition solutions and property management systems, procured hotel and guest supplies, managed vendors, and hired hotel staff. Finally, in 2017, they were the Director of Operations at CareerVillage.org, where they increased new corporate partners by 33%, held renewals at 90%, spearheaded the first school district partnership in CareerVillage history, strengthened the organization's finances to expand the FTEs by 5x plus 4 tech contractors, and expanded the volunteer community over 80%. yoonji also re-implemented the OKR process with the expanded team and worked across 4 teams of Community, Data, Partnerships, and Product to develop organizational-wide strategy and goals through quarterly OKR planning.
Yoonji Kim completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Global Communication from The George Washington University. Prior to that, they participated in a Language Program in Mandarin at Beijing Normal University. yoonji also holds a Bachelors degree in International Studies from UC Irvine.
