Alex Borges

Alex Borges, PharmD, MBA, has a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Nuclear Pharmacist for GE Healthcare. Alex then moved on to Medica Healthcare Plans, Inc., where they served as the Director of Pharmacy Services from 2005 to 2012. Following this, they joined Simply Healthcare Plans as the Director of Pharmacy Services from 2012 to 2015. Alex then became a part of Anthem, Inc., where they held the positions of Director of Pharmacy, Statewide Programs from 2015 to 2017 and Staff Vice President, Medicare Pharmacy from 2017 to 2021. Most recently, they worked at IngenioRx as the Vice President of Pharmacy Sales and Account Management for Government Business from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they hold the same position at CarelonRx.

Alex Borges, PharmD, MBA, obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Nova Southeastern University. They also completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program at the same university. Additionally, they pursued a specialization in Nuclear Pharmacy at Purdue University. Alex Borges holds a graduate certification in Health Care Risk Management from the University of Florida and studied Chemistry at Florida International University.
