Carolyn Owen

Carolyn Owen is an Associate Machine Learning Engineer at CARFAX since May 2022, having previously served as a Systems Developer Intern at the same company from May 2020 to September 2021. At CARFAX, Carolyn develops machine learning models to process freeform text and implements reliable software solutions using test-driven development and pair programming techniques. Prior experience includes a role as a Computer Science Research Assistant at Western University, where modifications were made to an embedded program for peer-to-peer communication in Crazyflie drones and documentation was created for a large code base. Carolyn also has experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician at Central Cat Hospital, where collaboration with the team resulted in improved patient outcomes. Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors Specialization in Computer Science from Western University, earned between 2016 and 2022.
