Ryan Oates

Ryan Oates is a highly experienced meteorologist specializing in weather analytics and commodity forecasting. Currently serving as the Weather Analytics Lead at Cargill since March 2021, Ryan previously held the role of Senior Weather Analyst. Prior experience includes a tenure at COFCO International from February 2016 to March 2021 as a Senior Commodity Meteorologist and Analyst, focusing on global weather forecasts with emphasis on North and South America. Ryan also worked as a Junior Commodity Meteorologist and Commodity Trainee at Noble Americas from April 2013 to January 2016, and began the career as an intern at both Noble Americas and Chesapeake Energy. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Atmospheric Science from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University.
