Tom Finkbiner

Tom Finkbiner has been in the surface freight transportation industry since August 1975, working in both the trucking and the rail-based intermodal industries. Tom has held senior positions with Airborne Freight Corporation, North American Van Lines, Railex, Pacer International and now Cargomatic. He has been Chief Intermodal Officer for Norfolk Southern Corporation, Chief Executive Officer for Quality Distribution, Inc. and Chief Executive Officer for Tiger Cool Express. He was a Founder for intermodal start ups Triple Crown Services and Tiger Cool Express, who have jointly generated intermodal revenues of over one billion dollars to date. Tom has been appointed or elected to the Board of Directors of Quality Distribution, Pacer International, Tiger Cool Express, the Intermodal Association of North America and the Intermodal Institute at the University of Denver and was elected to Chairman of the Board in all of those entities except Pacer International. In 2000, he was awarded the Silver King Pin Award by the Intermodal Association of North America representative of a lifetime achievement award in the Intermodal industry.
