Lewis Kuhl

Lewis Kuhl is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the automotive industry and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as General Counsel for Open Dealer Exchange, LLC since 2020, Kuhl provides legal and regulatory advice to technology companies aimed at transforming the automotive F&I workflow. Previous roles include General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Secretary at Auto Trakk, LLC, and Legal Counsel and Director of Regulatory Compliance at GSFSGroup. Kuhl also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Faculty member at Northwood University, teaching dealership legal issues. With a legal career starting in 1987 as an Assistant Public Advocate for the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy, Kuhl has held several key positions, including Senior Counsel at JM Family Enterprises, Inc., and General Counsel for Huber's, Inc. and Triangle Automotive Group, LLC. Kuhl holds a JD from Northern Kentucky University—Salmon P. Chase College of Law and a BA in Political Science/Business from Eastern Kentucky University.
