Ben Ewy has a diverse work experience in various industries. Ben started their career as a freelance writer for Sportswear International. Then, they worked as the Director of Design at South Street Industries, where they led the design of young men's and boy's private label clothing for clients including Aeropostale, Mervyn's, Gadzooks, Hot Topic, and Wal-Mart. After that, they served as the Director of Design and Merchandising for Licensed Product at Nautica, overseeing the product development process for 21 licensed categories and contributing to the launch of Nautica's Voyage fragrance. Ben also worked as the Director of Global Inspiration at Nautica, where they developed seasonal creative direction for internal design teams and external licensed partners, and determined the brand's online representation.
Next, Ben joined Springs Global as the Director of Global Consumer Experience, providing research, insight, and direction on color, design, and retail trends to various teams globally, and managing the marketing design team. Ben then served as the Creative Director at New Era Cap, leading the headwear and apparel design teams and ensuring global alignment of all product initiatives.
Ben also ventured into entrepreneurship, founding Rhymes With Navy, a virtual agency specializing in marketing and content creation, product design and production, brand design, interior design, merchandising, and product strategy. Additionally, they founded Reverse Warrior, a line of products dedicated to mindful living.
Ben later worked at Buffalo State College as a Lecturer, teaching a class on "Sneakerhead Culture & Innovation" that delved into the technical innovations in footwear. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Design, Research, and Development at Carhartt, where they previously served as the Senior Director of Design and Research and Development, as well as the Director of the Hamilton Way, responsible for bringing Carhartt's product research and development process to life.

Ben Ewy attended Parsons School of Design - The New School from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained an AAS degree in Apparel Design. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Michigan from 1991 to 1995, earning a BS degree in Honors Literature. Additionally, in May 2023, Ben obtained a certification in Design Thinking: A Toolkit for Breakthrough Innovation from Kellogg Executive Education.
