Robert Costello

Robert Costello, MHA has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Robert started their career as an Accounting Intern at United Way Worldwide in 2012, where they gained experience with financial reports and accounts payable.

In 2013, they worked as a Revenue Analyst at Tekelec, which was later acquired by Oracle.

From 2014 to the present, Robert has been building their career at Carilion Clinic. Robert started as a Financial Analyst, where they performed audit analysis and cost analysis, saving the organization over $3 million across various contract categories. Robert then served as a Contract Administrator, managing contracts in the Surgical and Operating Room space and conducting monthly Surgical Value Analysis meetings.

Robert then moved up to the role of Senior Contract Administrator, where they negotiated contracts related to the OR/Surgical area and saved the organization approximately $2.5 million through contracting projects and RFPs. Robert further advanced to the position of Manager and later Senior Manager of Corporate Contracting, leading a team through cost reduction strategies and developing new savings strategies for the organization.

Most recently, Robert has taken on the role of Director of Supply Chain Information Systems & Value Analysis at Carilion Clinic.

In addition to their healthcare career, Robert has also worked as a Professional Resume Writer at Costello Resumes since 2018. Robert has helped over 500 clients improve their resumes, resulting in increased interview opportunities and LinkedIn search impressions from recruiters.

Robert Costello, MHA obtained a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Jefferson College of Health Sciences in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a BBA degree in Accounting and Finance from Radford University in 2012.
