Leila Rutanen has been working in the social enterprise sector for over 10 years. Rutanen started their career at Aspa-säätiö ja Aspa Palvelut, where they worked their way up to Palvelupäällikkö. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the social enterprise's operations and ensuring that service quality, customer satisfaction, and societal benefit were all up to par.
After a few years at Aspa, Leila took on a new challenge at Diakonissalaitos. Here, they worked as a business director, responsible for leading the organisation's community outreach efforts. After a few years in this role, they transitioned to Caritas Community, where they have been working as a business director for the past two years.
In their current role, Leila is responsible for Caritas Community's overall business operations. This includes overseeing the organisation's finances, marketing, and community outreach initiatives. Under their leadership, Caritas Community has become one of the most respected social enterprises in Finland.
Rutanen Leila has a Nordic Master's Degree Programme in Gerontology from Háskóli Íslands, a Master's degree in Gerontology and Public Health Science from University of Jyväskylä, and a Nordic Master's Degree in Gerontology from Lund University. Rutanen also has a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Social Sciences from Mikkeli University of Applied Science, a Specialist Qualification in Management from Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education, and is a Nurse and Social Welfare Supervisor from Learning Institute of Health and Social Welfare.
