Vanja Misic has significant experience in the field of UX research and strategy. They are currently working as the Head of Research & Insights at ZEISS Group, where they lead a team of UX Researchers and Strategists, foster a positive team culture, and drive innovation. They are also responsible for defining and developing UX research and strategy formats and methodologies. Prior to this, Vanja worked as a Consultant in UX Strategy, Research, and Leadership Coaching. They have also held roles at Steelcase, where they served as an Experience Design Lead and Senior UX Design Researcher, and at frog, where they worked as a UX Design Researcher. Vanja has also worked as a Lecturer and Research Associate at Swinburne University of Technology, focusing on service design, design thinking, and information design. They have previous experience as a Service Designer at Accenture and AMP, where they conducted participatory design studies and ethnographic research.
Vanja Misic completed a Diploma in Business, Finance, and Investment from Commerzbank AG in 2003. They then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Communication and Multimedia Design from FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences from 2003 to 2007. In addition, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business, Communication, Data Science, and Design from Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences from 2004 to 2006. Vanja continued their education by earning a Master's degree in Design Strategy and Anthropology from HTWG Hochschule Konstanz – Technik, Wirtschaft und Gestaltung from 2007 to 2009. They then attended Swinburne University of Technology from 2008 to 2009, where they completed a Master of Arts in Anthropology & Design. Currently, Vanja Misic is pursuing a European certified (DGSF) degree in Organizational Leadership as a Business Coach from 2021 to 2023.
