Vivian Zhang (Xuan)

Vivian (Xuan) Zhang is a seasoned professional in the field of research and development with extensive experience in thermoplastics and polymers. Currently serving as the Thermoplastics R&D Manager at Carlisle Construction Materials since February 2016, Vivian leads the R&D in TPO, PVC, and analytical groups, and previously managed product development projects for TPO membranes. Prior to this role, Vivian held various technical leadership positions at Cabot Corporation from 2005 to 2015, where significant accomplishments included leading teams in the production of treated carbon black and fumed silica, as well as developing applications for various industrial uses. Vivian's career also includes key roles at W.R. Grace from 1999 to 2005, focusing on new product developments in PVDC emulsions and adhesives. Earlier academic experience includes postdoctoral research at Carnegie Mellon University, studying advanced polymerization techniques, and an educational background featuring a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Emory University and an MBA from Boston University.
