Sarah Kinney Cpa

Sarah Kinney, CPA, CISA has a strong background in IT audit and technology risk. Sarah started their career at EY in 2015, where they worked as a Technology Risk Senior and Staff. In these roles, they collaborated with a team to plan and perform IT audit engagements, assessed IT controls for financial audits, and performed control assessments for various certifications. Sarah also gained experience as an Advisory ITRA Intern at EY, where they gathered and organized evidence for control testing and assisted senior team members in client meetings.

Prior to their time at EY, Sarah worked as a Campus Ambassador for Roger CPA Review, where they provided information to students at Penn State interested in sitting for the CPA exam. Sarah also served as a VITA Accounting Student Liaison and Administrative Assistant at Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, where they organized volunteers and improved operations for the organization.

Additionally, Sarah had internships at Urish Popeck & Co., LLC as a Tax Intern, and at MD On-Line (acquired by Ability) as a Finance Intern. In these roles, they gained experience in tax and corporate accounting, respectively.

Sarah Kinney, CPA, CISA obtained their Bachelor's degree in Economics and Accounting from Penn State University from 2010 to 2014. Sarah then pursued a Masters of Accountancy (MAcc) degree in Accounting from the same university during the same time period. In 2017, Sarah obtained their CPA certification from the AICPA, and in 2018, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification from ISACA.
