Carl-Johan Lundell

Carl-Johan Lundell has a strong background in the geospatial technology industry, with over 30 years of experience at Carmenta. Carl-Johan started working at Carmenta AB in 1989 as a Software Engineer, where they focused on aeronautical charting and planning applications and implemented object-oriented and agile methodologies. In 2008, they became the Director of R&D, leading product development projects and research activities. In 2013, Lundell transitioned to a new role as the Vice President and Head of Professional Services at Carmenta Geospatial Technologies AB, responsible for managing geospatial software experts across multiple locations. In 2023, they were promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations at Carmenta.

Carl-Johan Lundell attended Aschebergsgymnasiet in Göteborg from 1982 to 1984 where they studied a 4-year technical line, specializing in years 1 and 2. Carl-Johan then moved on to Polhemsgymnasiet in Göteborg from 1984 to 1985, continuing their studies on a 4-year technical line and focusing on year 3 in the field of electrical engineering. From 1985 to 1989, Lundell attended Chalmers University of Technology where they completed their M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering, specializing in the D-line program.
