Anja K.

Anja K. serves as the Director of Global Markets, New Frontiers and Emerging Spaces at IEEE, focusing on technology and AI governance, ethical design of autonomous systems, and international security implications of AI. Anja K. holds membership in the Council of Extended Intelligence and participates in the IEEE Global Initiative for Ethical Considerations in AI and Autonomous Systems. Recent roles include being a member of INTERPOL’s Standing Committee on Ethical Matters and Co-Director of the AI and Equality Initiative at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Prior experience includes various advisory and leadership roles at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the United Nations, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Anja K. possesses extensive educational qualifications, including degrees in science, organizational leadership, and innovation from prestigious institutions such as The London School of Economics and Harvard Kennedy School.
