Leslie Vinjamuri serves as the Director of the US and the Americas programme and Dean of the Queen Elizabeth II Academy at Chatham House since September 2014, also holding the title of Associate Fellow and Trustee. At SOAS, Leslie has been a faculty member in International Relations since 2007, achieving promotions to Reader in 2018 and Professor in 2023, alongside directing the Centre on Conflict, Rights and Justice. In January 2024, Leslie will take on the role of Vice Chair at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs and currently holds the position of Deputy Chair and Marshall Commissioner at the Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission. Additional advisory roles include membership on the Phelan US Centre's Advisory Board and LSE IDEAS. Leslie has a Doctor of Philosophy from Columbia University, a Master's from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor's from Wesleyan University.
