Megan Wiegand

Megan Wiegand is a seasoned editor with extensive experience in the media industry, currently serving as Senior Editor at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace since December 2021. Prior to this role, Megan worked at Slate Magazine from June 2012 to November 2021, where responsibilities included managing a team of copy editors, coordinating content production, collaborating on content management system development, and overseeing freelance budgets. Earlier positions included Assistant Managing Editor, Copy Chief, and Copy Editor/Web Producer at Slate, as well as a Web Editor at Gannett Government Media Corporation and a Desk Assistant at The PBS NewsHour. Megan holds a BA in Art History and Political Science from The Ohio State University and an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
