Matthew Wachter

Matthew Wachter is the Vice President, Finance & Investment at Carnegie Foundry. Matthew has also worked as the Vice President, Finance & Development at Erie Downtown Development Corporation and as an Associate at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton LLP and Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C.

Wachter has significant operational and deal work experience, including financial modeling, structured finance, fund management and use of tax credits and incentives. Matthew also has diverse real estate and development experience, including construction and marketing of apartment units, retail, and a grocery store and food hall in a “USDA food desert.”

Matthew Wachter received their BA in Theirtory from Penn State University. Matthew then attended law school at Duquesne University School of Law, where they earned their J.D. After law school, they pursued an LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
