David Freudenthal

David Freudenthal is the Director of Government Relations at Carnegie Hall. David has over two decades of experience in public policy and administration.

David began their career as a consultant for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, assessing potential impacts of the city’s proposed watershed regulations. David then took on the role of Senior Policy Analyst for Manhattan Borough President Ruth W. Messinger. In this position, they were responsible for researching and writing policy reports on a variety of topics, such as housing, economic development, and transportation.

In 1998, Freudenthal joined Carnegie Hall as the Capital Projects Manager in the Real Estate Office. In this role, they managed construction contracts for a $75M multipurpose theater and a $15M renovation. David was also responsible for project budgets, schedules and financial and regulatory compliance.

Freudenthal has a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Columbia University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from New York University.

David Freudenthal has a Master's Degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Independent from Vassar College.

David Freudenthal reports to Susan J. Brady, Chief Development Officer. They are on a team with Dori Fisher - Director, Corporate Relations and Sponsorships, Kevin Groob - Director, Membership, and Don Spalding - Director, Patron Program and Membership.
