Michael Degnan

Michael Degnan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial services innovation and technology. Currently serving as the Head of Enterprise Innovation at PNC since July 2018, Michael leads an internal consultancy, incubator, and lab focused on integrating innovative solutions into banking operations. In addition to this role, Michael is the Head of Technology Innovation and serves as PNC Director at the Center for Financial Services Innovation at Carnegie Mellon University, bridging academic research with practical business challenges. Michael's investment portfolio includes companies like Candidly, Digital Onboarding, Inc., Alpharank, and Sandbox Banking, all aimed at enhancing banking services. Previously, Michael held senior positions at Santander Bank and was a founding team member at Moven. Michael holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics with post-graduate studies in Computer Science from Columbia University.
