Business Intelligence Analyst at Carolina Hurricanes

Karilyn Brown is currently a Business Intelligence Analyst for the Carolina Hurricanes. Prior to their current position, they served as a Justice of the Peace for Pulaski County Quorum Court from January 2012 to December 2014. In this role, they oversaw the transfer of funds to various county departments and was responsible for passing key legislation, such as the approval for the County Judge to enter into an agreement with the State Highway Department for the design enhancement of the new Broadway Bridge.

Before their time as a Justice of the Peace, Karilyn worked as a Technical Writer for Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield from November 2001 to June 2003. In this role, they were responsible for writing technical manuals and online help documentation.

Karilyn has also worked as a Community Engagement Coordinator and Financial Associate for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans from May 2003 to December 2012. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating community outreach events and providing financial advice to clients.

Karilyn Brown earned their Master of Arts in Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
