Dawn Larsen, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the field of theatre and performance, currently serving as a Professor of Theatre at Francis Marion University since August 2007. With a rich background in music, Dawn Larsen has pursued a dual career as a professional singer and vocal coach since 1980 and 1991, respectively, while also engaging in acting and voiceover work with Carolina Talent and previously with Shepherd of the Hills Entertainment Group. Academic credentials include a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, as well as a Master of Arts from Austin Peay State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Additionally, an earlier academic foundation was established with an Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Performance from Cottey College. Prior to the current role, Dawn Larsen held the position of Associate Professor at Volunteer State Community College from 2000 to 2007.
