Michael Malakhov has a strong background in the logistics industry, with experience spanning over two decades. Michael is currently the Founder & CEO of Carpool Logistics, a car shipping marketplace that promotes cost and emission reductions through shared truck space. Prior to this, Michael served as the Managing Partner at RoarkX in 2020. Michael also held the position of Executive Vice President at ACERTUS from 2018 to 2020, where they were responsible for revenue growth and the development of various solutions in the vehicle logistics industry.
Earlier in their career, Michael worked at C.H. Robinson in various leadership roles. Michael was a Regional General Manager from 2016 to 2018, overseeing the strategic planning and development of the LTL Consolidation business segment. As a Regional Director from 2014 to 2016, they managed the European Truckload & LTL business units and led a multi-national organization through a turnaround. From 2013 to 2016, they served as the Director of Operations for the European Truckload and LTL Business Units, successfully restructuring the operation for profitability. Additionally, they were a Branch Manager from 2008 to 2013 and a Manager from 2003 to 2008, contributing to the growth and profitability of truckload brokerage P&Ls. Michael started their career as a Transportation Sales Associate, handling client portfolios in the automotive, industrials, and oil & gas sectors.

Michael Malakhov has a diverse education history. From 1998 to 2001, they attended Georgia Southern University, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in both Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Finance. In 2010, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance at Emory University's Goizueta Business School. In 2012, they briefly attended FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, where they studied International Business, Trade, and Commerce. In 2020, Michael Malakhov took startup courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to further enhance their knowledge in the field.
