Amy Honchell

Amy Honchell serves as the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at Carroll College since August 2021, overseeing leadership in strategic planning, accreditation, program review, and assessment of student learning, along with curricular planning and development. Previously, Amy held several key roles at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for 17 years, including Associate Provost, where responsibilities encompassed curricular planning, accreditation efforts, and program reviews. Notably, Amy coordinated strategic plan implementation, served on the President’s Cabinet, and established assessment practices for student learning. Amy has also contributed to academia as an Associate Dean and Department Chair, while engaging in curatorial research and editorial roles. Educational credentials include an MFA in Fiber and Material Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design.
