Umut Eser

Umut Eser is a seasoned professional in the field of artificial intelligence and biotechnology, currently serving as Chief AI Officer and Co-founder at Weave since July 2022, and as Venture Partner at Magnetic Ventures since September 2021. Eser also holds a position as a Founding Advisory Board Member at Carry Venture Capital, starting in January 2024. Previously, Eser acted as Chief Innovation Officer at Doctor Evidence, LLC from April 2021 to July 2022, and served as a Scientific Advisor at Harbinger Health, Kernal Biologics, Inc., and Nerai. Other notable positions include Head of Machine Learning at Cellarity and Director of AI at AI Therapeutics. Eser’s academic credentials include a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Genetics and Computational Biology at Harvard Medical School, a PhD in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's degree in Advanced Physics from Middle East Technical University.
