John Lee has over 20 years of experience in risk management, safety, and security. John worked as the Division Director of Risk Management & Safety at Carteret Health Care from 2001 to the present, where they oversaw the organization's Enterprise Risk Management Program, Patient Safety Program, and Environment of Care compliance. John also obtained various insurance coverages, managed legal files for claims, conducted internal investigations, and ensured compliance with patient safety standards. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Safety at Moses Cone Health System from 1991 to 2001.
John Lee attended Central Texas College from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Business Administration and Management. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1992 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management.
In addition to their formal education, John Lee obtained certifications in the field of safety management. In January 2001, they became a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional through the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers. Later, in December 2007, they also earned the designation of Certified Patient Safety Officer from the same institution.
