James Synge

James Synge is a venture investor and board member with a wealth of experience in the venture capital industry. James began their career in 2008 as a Board of Directors Member and Seed Investor at Life360. In 2014, they joined Carthona Capital as a Partner, where they helped to transition the firm from a deal-by-deal model to a more traditional venture capital model. Since then, James has been an Investor for Reach Alternative Investments, Hubble Network, NayaOne, Layer, Skript, SafeStack Academy, and Pathzero, all in 2021. James also joined Cascade in 2021 as an Investor.

James Synge is a past member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, having obtained their CA in 2008. James also holds a Master of Taxation from the University of Sydney, which they obtained in 1993. Their educational background also includes a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from the University of Technology Sydney, which they obtained in 1990.
