Terri Derr

Terri Derr is a seasoned veterinarian with extensive experience in both clinical practice and shelter management. Currently serving as the Consulting Shelter Veterinarian at Carver Scott Humane Society since October 2021, Terri also operates Veterinary Behavior Options, which offers in-home consultations for pet behavior issues, a venture started in 2004. Previous roles include Associate Veterinarian at Shady Oak Veterinary Clinic and Staff Veterinarian at Minneapolis Animal Care and Control. Notably, Terri was the Director of Operations and Staff Veterinarian at Prairie's Edge Humane Society, overseeing shelter operations and veterinary services for approximately 1,200 animals annually. Education was completed at The Ohio State University, where Terri earned a D.V.M. degree from 1977 to 1981.
