T. McKay Stoker has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. T. McKay started working at Cascade Energy, Inc in 2019 as a Project Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Colorado State University from 2017 to 2019. At Colorado State University, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they worked on a project sponsored by Honda R&D Americas, Inc. T. McKay developed and validated a CFD tool for evaluating the performance of automotive refueling systems. T. McKay also conducted controlled experiments to validate the model. During the same period, they also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where they conducted labs, graded assignments, and assisted with undergraduate courses for mechanical engineering students. At Utah State University, from 2016 to 2017, they worked as an Engineering Undergraduate Researcher, where they developed a computer simulation for nanoparticles forming on a substrate and optimized the system for control of nanoparticle size and distribution. T. McKay was awarded the best paper in the engineering division in the 2017 Journal of the Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts, & Letters. T. McKay also served as a Baja SAE Team Member, where they assisted in the design and manufacture of suspension and steering systems and served as a purchaser for these systems. T. McKay successfully built a vehicle that remained under budget and was able to survive a four-hour race.
T. McKay Stoker has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. T. McKay obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University, where they attended from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, Stoker pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering at Utah State University, which they completed from 2011 to 2017.
In addition to their academic achievements, Stoker has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. T. McKay completed the SAE Evaporative and Refueling Emission Control Training from SAE International in May 2019. Furthermore, Stoker earned the Engineer In Training certification from NCEES in August 2016, further demonstrating their dedication to their field of expertise.
